Theres not much to say about our loss to OGGS other than that it was an extremely disappointing week for us.  As a group we know our best footy can match anyone, but unfortunately for us we haven’t seen that required level in the past month and it has cost us games that we should have won.  We were hopeful this week that we would turn it all around and after an inspired team meeting on Thursday night and some quality players’ returning it was only ever going to be attitude that would beat us.

We had some solid performances all day from Bisset & Amad from the premier team as well as Darrer & Barry who gave their all as per usual.  Unfortunately, we have about 10 blokes who play their hearts out each week and the remaining spots are filled by blokes with loads of ability but an attitude that does not match it.

A pep talk from seniors coach Simon Lethlean this Thursday night might be the cure we need as we head into the last month where we face the 3 top teams.  I urge all Old Xavs supporters to get around this group of young lads as we strive to put together the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle for our great club.
