Lou Zachariah played but a few games with the Old Xavs between 1947 and 1950, usually as a defender and later filling a forward pocket whenever the team was short of players. Well beyond retirement, Lou always had his gear in the car, just in case. Zachariah was president of the club from 1959-62, and was on the committee for many years. He was the club's delegate to the VAFA from 1948-1951 and ended up as president of the VAFA from 1971-77.
