Over 2200 players have pulled on the famous red and black jumper of the Old Xaverians Football Club through the years since 1923. Some stayed just a short time, while many others gave years of service, on and off the field, to ensure that our club became, and continued to be successful. On this page we recognise those Old Xavs who have made a special contribution.
Life members, officials, and most importantly, the players, who by dint of long service or special achievement, contributed very significantly to our club's success.
One of them, our esteemed Life Member Peter Rhoden, has been one of those and he is largely responsible for the research on guernsey numbers. Thanks again, Porky.
Many Old Xaverians wore several numbers during their playing days. Here they are listed by the number for which they are best remembered.
Those recognised for their off-field efforts are included under their playing number, where applicable.
This is not, by a long way, meant to be a complete list, but we do hope to recognise as many of those who made a solid contribution to the mighty Red and Blacks.
If you believe we are missing a player/s of significance, please email
michael.fitzgerald@xavier.vic.edu.au with the details and we will add to the list.
