MERRY CHRISTMAS
And all the best for 2025
With the Victorian Government announcing the end of lockdown and restrictions easing across the state, VAFA football returns this weekend. All matches set for Saturday 31 July will go ahead.
Continuing Government restrictions mean spectators can't attend matches this weekend, but we're hopeful we'll see all our fantastic supporters back at the footy soon. It's great for our players and coaches to be back on the field again after such a disrupted season, with all men's teams in the finals mix.
The Women's Premier home and away season has concluded. Our WOX Senior side put up some excellent performances in their first season back in the top section but missed finals. Our WOX Reserves, however, performed extremely well to finish fourth.
Here's a look at the games for the other nine OXFC teams who will be back on the field this weekend. It's a massive day at Toorak Park with the second-placed seniors, on a six-match winning streak, taking on third-placed Caulfield Grammarians, who have won seven games on the trot.
The Under 23 1s (third on the ladder) have a big challenge away against top-placed St Kevins, while the Crocs, second, also face a tough opponent away in Fitzroy, just one spot back.
The U19 triple-header at Straddy has top-four implications for all three Xavs' teams.
