The Old Xaverians Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Lachal as General Manager and Pat Stevenson as Assistant General Manager for the 2025 season. During the recruitment process, the club identified an opportunity to have multiple people focus on specific roles to better serve the club and its members.

Both Paul and Pat are Old Xaverians known to many of you. Paul began his journey with the Old Xavs as a supporter, following his father Paul Lachal Sr. (Life Member) to watch the footy, before becoming a player in 1979. Paul's kids, Ed (183 games) and Harry (59 games), represented the club from 2009 to 2019, with Paul also serving on the committee from 2013 to 2017 . Paul's extensive experience within the club and the property industry will serve the club well, as he will focus on the overall running of the club.

Pat Stevenson began his playing career at OXFC in 2015 in the Under 19 program. After his playing career, Pat has been performing the role of Team Manager with the Menage post-COVID, running a tight ship and keeping everyone organized. As the son of club treasurer Marina Stevenson, it's fantastic to see another Old Xavs family getting more involved in the club. Pat's primary responsibility will be the coordination and management of Toorak Park, an important part of the next phase of our great club.

This announcement comes off the back the appointment of Ralph O'Shaughnessy as the clubs GM of Football late last year.

President Matt Cosgrave stated, "The restructuring of the GM role is an extremely positive move for the club as we transition into our next phase. Paul and Pat are both quality Old Xaverians who offer a great amount to the club. As President, I'm thrilled with the quality of people we have in place for the year ahead and I believe the club is in a really strong position."

A special thankyou to James Woods who has done a tremendous job over the last two seasons . James will be moving out of his current role but will still remain on the committee.
