The travelling Snowdogs were no match for Tom McCluskey's outfit, with Josh "Tooka" Hanger turning it on in front of the sticks with an Opening Day career best six goals.

Bernard's struggled all day, but kept at it in the traditions of their great club, actually winning the final stanza. But their opportunity had long since evaporated as the Xavs had led by 80 points at the lemons.
