It was one win, one loss for the WOX at Greythorn Park in their double-header with St Mary's Salesian on Saturday.

SENIORS

Despite being level at the first change courtesy of a goal from Amy Benifer, Gowans' Girls couldn't match it with St Mary's Salesian the rest of the way. The Red 'n' Blacks could only manage five behinds beyond quarter time, while Saints edged away to a comfortable win.

The loss likely means the WOX will miss the finals, though with many weekly changes in all team line-ups, some wild results are always possible. Next week, a trip to Caulfield.

RESERVES

The Ressies pulled off a one point victory against SMS, despite scoring just one goal. That came from Alyssa Privitelli in the final term. Maddy Brackenreg was best, continuing the great form she had showed last week, while seasoned veteran Eliza Christie, who had also featured strongly against St Kevin's, turned it on again.

The Twos are in the four at present, but their clash this week with Caulfield appears critical to their chances.
