Mixed fortunes for the U19s on the weekend.
Rushy's Rookies crushed Old Scotch in a masterful display at Elsternwick on Sunday. The Red 'n' Blacks rioted in the feature game of the U19 Festival of Football, with a tight defence, a potent attack and a marauding midfield.
Charlie Knott booted seven, and Charlie Westcott dobbed four in a BOG performance.
Next week, a trip to Williamstown, a tough place to win any time, particularly with the CYs sitting fourth.

Fitzroy stunned the Old Xavs with a coast-to-coast victory at Ramsden Street. The Red 'n' Blacks couldn't get the ball through the big sticks, and their inaccurate kicking cost them a shot at victory in the long run. Tex Wanganeen made his debut for the Old Xavs, but even the son of the former Brownlow Medallist couldn't save this one.
Next week, a clash with bottom of the ladder Uni Blacks is an opportunity to restore some conficdence and form.

Xavs had a big win on the runway at Essendon. Josh Karn booted three and Lachie Pereira was best as Dom Guiney's boys proved too strong for PEGS.
