Wintry conditions gripped Melbourne today for R2 of the VAFA season, and it wasn't a day for high scoring.

The Old Xaverians managed five wins from nine, with victories to the Menages, the U23s, U19 Reserves, the Crocs and the Women's black team.

Both Seniors and Reserves lost narrowly at the Dairy Bell, the U19 premier team fell to Caulfield Grammarians at Stradbroke, while the Women's Red team could not get over the line despite a great final term effort.
