‍Elizabeth Mary Halpin 1952-2024

Members of the Old Xaverians Football Club community will be deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Liz Halpin, who died on Monday, aged 71.

Liz was the beloved wife of long-serving game day assistant and team manager Kevin, and the mother of four, including former OXFC U19 coach Patrick.

Former players and longtime club sponsors Leon and Paul Lachal are among her six siblings, and she was a loving grandmother to nine.

A library teacher at St. Kevin's, and prior to that at Sacred Heart, Kew, Liz kept active playing golf with her old friends from Mandeville Hall.

At this time of heartbreak and loss, we share our sincere sympathies with her immediate and extended families, and with those she touched wth her kindness.

May perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace.

Please be advised that the Funeral Mass for Liz will be offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Cnr. Burwood and Glenferrie Roads, Hawthorn at 10.00 am next Tuesday 13 February.

A private cremation will follow.
