RALPH'S NEW ROLE
O'Shaughnessy is Xavs' Footy GM
Another two victories from three tries, as the U19 teams begin their final approach to the playoffs.
Oscar Smart was best as Rushy's Rookies atoned for an earlier season defeat by Old Brighton. The Red 'n' Blacks dominated all afternoon, with Charlie Knott kicking four in the win, which sees the Xavs a game back of Caulfield Grammarians, but with a superior percentage. The top two won't meet until the finals, and it seems a good chance that neither will blot their copybook further before an epic second semi-final contest.

The Twos had a tough time of it as highly-fancied Uni Blues put away the Red 'n' Blacks despite a BOG performance from Jake Jones and three goals from Oliver Tehan.
The Xavs sit fourth, but the performances in the weeks ahead will decide whether finals are on offer. First up, top-ranked Mazenod, before a home and away fortnight tussle with Uni Blacks. It might come down to percentage, though a win next week could secure the booking early.

The Threes destroyed St Bede's/Mentone Tigers by 97 points at Stradbroke Park. Twelve in Red and Black booted goals, with three players booting hat-tricks. Mac Shaw was best afield in a strong team performance.
Xavs ar ein fourth spot, two games clear, and face Peninsula (away), then St Kevin's and St Bernard's (at Straddy), none of which is a contender for top four honours. A third-placed finish is not beyond the realms of possibility.
