The Menages had the better of the U23s in their first contest of the season, registering a ten-point victory at Stradbroke Park today.

The Blacks finished the game stronger, booting six second half goals to two from the Reds. Fraser Lane dobbed four majors and proved a strong focal point for the Menages, who hadn't beaten the U23s in a while.

The Reds squandered opportunities in the second and third terms which might have given them the four points, but given the teams had 17 shots apiece, there appears little between them. We will know more when they meet again!
