CLG A BIG WINNER

We know they are the best, but now they have been recognised as same by the Australian Hotels Association.

CLG, which operates our favourite watering holes - the Botanical, Colonial Brewing Company, the Portsea Hotel, the Half Moon and the Albert Park among them - has won an AHA Award of Excellence as the nation's Best Hotel Group Operator.

The AHA awards honour top performers in the hospitality and accommodation industry across Australia. More than 5,000 Australian operators were eligible for the awards.

This is the first national AHA award for CLG, who have previously won AHA awards for their work at Print Hall in Perth (newly reopened as Gazette earlier this month) and at Colonial Brewing Co in Margaret River.

Lawrence Dowd (National General Manager) and Grady Patching (National Operations Manager) accepted the award on behalf of the CLG team.

“We’re honoured to be recognised as a real leader and united force in the Australian hospitality industry,” said Lawrence. “It’s a great feeling to work with such a great team of people who give their all every day to our venues,” added Grady.

Colonial Leisure Group is a major sponsor of the Old Xaverians and operates venues in WA and Victoria. CLG recently expanded to NSW and Queensland, as well as opening their first venues in the UK.

There's a CLG venue right for your next social or work function. Have a look at CLG's many entertainment hotspots here.
