MERRY CHRISTMAS
And all the best for 2025
James Dalbosco, who made his senior debut on Saturday, is the VAFA’s Round 1 nomination for the 2019 Rising Star Award.
Dal played a superb first-up game against OMs at the Wick, impressing the fans on Knowledge Hill. His run and overhead marking, as well as his penetrating kick made all sit up and take notice.
James was a double premiership player with the U19s in 2017, when he won the B+F, and in 2018, when he was runner-up to Tom Hart.
Dal is a smooth mover on the football field with his major strengths his composure and ability to win a contest. He has been likened to a young Scott Pendlebury.
He is renowned at the OXFC as a committed and hard working footballer, looking to get the most out of himself.
Many Old Xaverians were highly impressed with James before they ever saw him play. At the end of the 2017 season, he spoke to the graduating class at the annual OXFC Year 12 Football Luncheon and his words resonated with everyone between the the ages of 17 and 87.
Not surprisingly, James is regarded as a future leader of our football club.
