MERRY CHRISTMAS
And all the best for 2025
The VAFA has released the Premier fixture for next season, and once again, it’s nine home and nine away, eighteen Saturdays of action to decide which teams will move on to Elsternwick in September. In between: four byes - the Easter week following R1, the Queen’s Birthday on 6 June after R8, and the double-bye that sees open dates on 4 and 11 July.
Old Xaverians will commence their 2020 campaign for the LA Adamson Cup with a tough road game at the Snakepit against St Bernard’s on 4 April. The Snow Dogs have installed former AFLW premiership coach and former St Bede’s /Mentone Tigers coach Paul Groves as their new mentor. The Bernies will be fired up and keen to not only begin their season on a strong note but will be desperate to regain the Gary MacAllister Cup.
After the Easter break, James Byrne takes his team home to Toorak Park where they will face Old Scotch on 18 April.
The Red ‘n’ Blacks will complete their regular season with a home clash against Old Melburnians, now coached by old friend Paul Satterley, on 29 August.
In between, and hopefully thereafter, plenty of exciting weekends for the Red ‘n’ Blacks.
