The Old Xaverians are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of long-time club member Peter Hawkins, who died on Tuesday after a long illness.

Peter taught at Kostka Hall from 1971 until 2006 and served as Deputy Head.

He was the father of two Old Xavs greats - our former senior and U19 premiership coach Patrick, and multiple premiership player James, as well as daughter Kate.

Our most sincere condolences to them and their families and to Peter’s partner Paula.

Peter was a regular at Old Xavs football over many years and he will be missed by us all.

The Requiem Mass for Peter will be held in the Xavier College Chapel at 11:30am of Friday 13 September.

Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
